BASILEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of John Dale Vidrine announces his passing on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Palliative Care Unit at the V. A. Hospital in Alexandria with his loving family by his side. He was 62. A Celebration of Life will celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Basile. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in Elton with Father Brian Taylor officiating.
John Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as watching the Saints play football. He enjoyed family barbques but most importantly he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be loved and remembered in their hearts forever by his wife, Diane Blood Vidrine of Basile his son, Kevin J. Vidrine and wife, Shanna of Basile his daughter, Lisa Tait and husband, Johnny of Ragley his three stepdaughters, Regina Scott and husband, Kevin of Pine Prairie April Carraway and husband, Travis of Turkey Creek and Crystal Blood of Morgan City. He was a loving grandfather to seventeen grandchildren.
Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Rosita Scott Vidrine his brother, Wilbur Vidrine and his sister, Eldera Johnson.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile, on Monday, September 12th from 9:30 until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, September 13th from 7:00 am until time of services. Father Brian Taylor will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Monday evening.
