EUNICE-A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated on Saturday, January 17, 2009, at 11:00 am at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for John Pierre Fontenot, 76, who passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Rite of Committal will follow in the Veillon Cemetery with Pastor Ervin Goodman officiating.

John is survived by two daughters, Lisa Fontenot of Prairieville, and Kitti Johnson and husband, Walter of Beaumont, TX; two brothers, Fred Fontenot of St. Amant and Gerald Fontenot of Mamou; six sisters, Velma Johnson and Mary Guillory of Mamou, Willie Seal and Lou Ella Fontenot of Elizabeth, Juanita Ardoin of Eunice and Anna Belle Vasseur of Ville Platte; four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenore Fontenot; a son, Randy Fontenot and parents, J.P. and Iza Veillon Fontenot.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Friday, January 16, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services.
