BASILEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of John Douglas Maybrier, announces his passing on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at his residence. He was 27. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 03, 2010 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.

John was a resident of Basile and worked in the oilfield. He serviced his country proudly in the United States Navy. John leaves behind his father, John C. Maybrier of Basile his mother, Christine Ross of Ragley his precious daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Maybrier of Rayne his four sisters, Nichole Todd and husband, Chad of Garrison, TX, Katherine, Ariel and Alexis Maybrier all of Ragley his paternal grandparents, Buck and Donnis Maybrier of Basile and his maternal grandmother, Jane Roy of Elton two nephews, Regan and Eli Todd and one niece, Makynzie Benoit. Also mourning his loss is his aunts and uncles as well as many other family members and friends. There was always a place in your heart for him. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on July 2nd from 10:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
