EUNICEA wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, John Wesley Kibodeaux will be missed by all who knew and loved him. John died on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice with his family by his side. He was 83. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Church of Christ cemetery in Mamou with Minister Brian Leger officiating.
John a resident of Eunice proudly served with the United States Army in World War II. He retired as a welder in the oilfield. Over the years he was very active in church camps and LEA as well as a lifetime member of the Mamou Church of Christ.
He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his loving wife of 64 years, Delia Kibodeaux his two sons, Johnny Kibodeaux and wife, Patricia of Illinois and David Kibodeaux and wife, Teresa of Kentucky and his sister, Louella Coulter of Texas. He is also mourned by his six grandchildren whom he was very proud, Melissa Hanks, Karen Kibodeaux, Jennifer Powell, Bethany Parker, Scott Kibodeaux and Christy Bridgeman his eight greatgrandchildren, Kaitlin, Miles, LaurenGrace, Claudia, Carsin, Gabrielle, Danielle, Lane, Colton and Zoe who were a great source of joy.
Now John rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Avie and Olive Bertrand Kibodeaux and his daughter, Patricia Bell.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, September 17th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, September 18th from 8:00 am until time of services.
