BASILE-A devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, John Quincy Davis, Jr. will be missed by all who knew and loved him. John died on Monday, August 10, 2009 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 53. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Ken Domingue Celebrant.
John a native of Basile and a resident of Duson worked over 30 years as a production supervisor and is presently employed with Hilliard Petroleum. He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Janet Christ Davis of Duson; his son, Jeffrey Davis of Duson; his three daughters, Jessica D. Webb and her husband, Jason of Duson, Jacqueline and Julia Davis both of Duson; his brother, Carl Davis of Lake Charles; and the little joy of his life, his grandson, Caden LeBleu and due in October, Ethan Joel. Also mourning his loss are his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Now he rests in heaven with his beloved son, Joel Davis and his parents, John Quincy and Larris Rider Davis.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
