EUNICEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of John Elden Langley announces his passing on the morning of Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston with his loving family by his side. He was 74. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Richie House of Prayer. Interment will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Pastor Joey Reed officiating.
John better known as Catin was the former owner and operator of Langley Trucking Company. He will be remembered for the tremendous love he had for his family and his happiest times were spent creating memories with his family and friends. He was a supportive, giving and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be very deeply missed by his devoted wife, Jeanne Langley of Houston, TX his three sons, John Langley, Jr and wife, Madonna and Greg Langley and wife, Juanita all of Eunice, Rusty Hemphill of Conroe, TX his daughter, Debra Gillette of Channelview, TX his brother, Hilton Langley of Rayne his two sisters, Barbara Whetstine of Glenmora and Helen Zerangue of Breaux Bridge. He was a wonderful and loving grandfather to thirteen grandchildren, Martin Langley, Shaun Douget Terri, Kasey Bazar Lance, Solomon Langley Brittany, Greg Langley, II Danielle, Lena FrancoisVinny, Matthew Langley, Kayla Richard David, Branden Langley, Tiffany DeSelle, William DeSelle, Chad Vaughn and Steven Vaughn and twenty three great grandchildren.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Alexie and Mary LeJeune Langley and his brother, Shelby Langley. Deacon Robbie Leger will recite a Rosary at 6:30 pm Friday evening.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, October 18th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, October 19th from 8:00 am until time of services.
