EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts that the family of JoAnn L. Fontenot announces her passing on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 76. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Father Dustin Dought Celebrant.

JoAnn was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. The time she spent with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her seven children, Janice F. McGee and husband, Cullen, Wilbert Fontenot, Robert Fontenot and wife, Denise and Dutchess Fontenot all of Eunice, Lionel Fontenot and wife, Natalie of Angleton, TX, Andy Fontenot of Eunice and Orese Fontenot and wife, Annie of Glenmora a brother, Richard LaCombe of Kingston, AZ and a sister, Nellie Sonnier of Eunice. She was blessed with twenty three grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roddie Fontenot a son, Eddie Fontenot daughter, Roxanne Fontenot parents, Andy and Bertille Dupre LaCombe.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, October 15th from 12:30 pm until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
