EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Jessie C. Long, Jr. announces his sudden passing on Wednesday, March 02, 2011 at his home in Baton Rouge. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 04, 2011 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice. Interment will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier officiating.

Jessie a resident of Baton Rouge was a Gunsmith at City Pawn Shop in Baton Rouge. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for four years. He will be sadly missed by his two sisters, Dolores McGee of Lafayette and her children, Wesley McGee, Tanya Berzas and husband, Paul, Patrick McGee and wife, Michelle, Lewis MeGee and wife, Brooke and Ryan McGee Jackie L. Manuel and husband, Craig of Eunice and their children, Johnnie Ruth Naquin and husband, Nelton, Jessica Dischler and husband, David and Frankie Manuel.

Now Jessie rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Jessie and Thelma Carrier Long, Sr.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, March 3rd from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, March 4th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
