EUNICEIt is with great sadness that family announces the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend, Jeanette Thibodeaux Leger, on Friday, August 06, 2010 at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 87. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at 11:30 am on Sunday, August 08, 2010 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

Jeanette was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. Jeanette loved to cook and an excellent cook she was. She will be lovingly missed by her five sons, Howard Joseph Leger, Jr., James Douglas Leger, Michael G. Leger and wife, Connie, Ronald K. Leger and wife Margaret, Brendon K. Leger and wife, Lisa all of Eunice her daughter, Laura Frey and husband, Barry of Eunice her seventeen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Also mourning her loss is a half brother, Robert Lee Thibodeaux and half sister, Leola McGee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her love for her family she also had a special love for her dog Peanut. Jeanette was a special person and we will all miss her greatly.

Now she rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Howard Joseph Leger, Sr. her parents, Leo Paul and Laura McGee Thibodeaux two great grandchildren, and fourteen siblings.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, August 7th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Sunday, August 8th from 8:00am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Saturday evening.

Carrying Jeanette to her eternal resting place will be her five sons, Howard, Jr., James, Michael, Ronald, Brendon and her soninlaw, Barry.
