Jeanette Decuire

EUNICEWith much sorrow the family of Jeanette Ransom DeCuire announces her passing on the afternoon of Monday, May 05, 2014 at Oaklane Wellness Rehabilitation Center in Eunice. She was 89. A Memorial Service will be said for her at 1:30 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Inurnment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Dustin Dought Celebrant.

Jeanette was a homemaker and loved doing volunteer work. She volunteered most at the St. Joseph Diner in Lafayette with the poor during her years of living in Lafayette. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her sister, Dorothy R. Summerlin of Eunice her nephews, Harry Summerlin and wife, Jeanie of Eunice and Archie Summerlin and wife, Phyllis of San Antonio, TX her nieces, Michelle SummerlinYergen of Saratoga, NY and Renee Fleming and husband, Perry of St. Louis MO her late husbands nephew, Walter Hedblum and his wife, Lynn of Minneapolis, Minn., whom she had a special relationship. She is also survived by numerous greatnieces, greatnephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Ransom and Edith Young Ransom her husbands, William Bill Hedblum and E.J. DeCuire and also her brother, Don Ransom.
