BASILEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Janet Sue Delaune announces her passing on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center at the age of 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 01, 2012 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Father David Hebert Celebrant.

Janet known as Sue to all knew her was a retired cashier from Winn Dixie but most of all she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by her three children, Brenda Hillhouse of Albany, Louis Delaune III and wife, Donna of Jacksonville, FL and Linda Toups and husband, Earl of Basile her sister, Gwen Maddux and husband, Gene of Palmyra, MO. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, Blake Hillhouse, Haley Shaffett and Amy Hillhouse, Maritza and Sophie Sanchez, Rachael and Beaux Delaune, Jeffrey, Danielle and Dorothy Toups and further blessed with four great grandchildren, Larra and Jayde Hillhouse, Ariana and Alyssa Shaffett.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Louis Delaune, Jr. her parent, Claude Maddox and Margaret Happel Maddox Heinze her step father, Frank Heinze her sisters, Kate Archer and Phyllis Jean Maddox and her three brothers, Claude, Conrad, and Glen Maddox.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, August 31st from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, September 1st from 6:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
