EUNICEWith much sorrow, the family announces the passing of Jane Brown Benson who peacefully slipped away in her 87th year with family by her side at her residence in Carencro on the morning of Friday, November 23, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. Thomas Church in Savoy. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Sonny Brown Celebrant.

Jane was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She supported the military, loved to crochet and garden her flowers, especially her pink roses, and is described as an Angel with blue eyes by her family. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend and will be very deeply missed by her son, Adrian Clay Benson, Sr. and wife, Martha of Slidell daughter, Mitzi Benson Rice and husband, Diron of Jennings five sisters, Luella Pitre of Eunice, Mary Brignac and husband, Kearnie of Eunice, Jackie Bollich and husband, Larry of Mowata, Francil Matt and husband, Ray of Eunice, and Sandy West of Opelousas. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Adrian Clay Benson, Jr., Claire Geauthreaux, Nicholas Clay Benson, Stacy Kraemer, and Christopher Kraemer further blessed with six great grandchildren, Kristen, Lance Bubba, Mylee, Noah, Savannah, and Madelyn and is also survived by many beloved nephews and nieces.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Carl Valentine Benson parents, Agnes and Mafie Guillory Brown brothers, Frederick, Larry, Wilbur, and Don Ray Brown and sisters, Leora Belle Brown Fruge and Charlotte Brown.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, November 25th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, November 26th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.

Pallbearers for the Service will include, Adrian Clay Benson, Sr., Nicholas Clay Benson, Bill Mills, William K. Mills, II, Greg Brown, and Kirk Kleiser. Honorary pallbearers will include, Devan Fontenot and Dakota Fontenot.
