EUNICE - With saddened hearts, the family of James Ronald “Snowball” Dupre announces his passing on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the age of 73.Funeral services will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Brother Kevin West officiating services.Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
James Ronald “Snowball” Dupre was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on March 27, 1949 to Kermit and Mary Comeaux Dupre.James proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a truckdriver by trade and when not working, James enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He will be missed by family and friends and his memory will live forever in their hearts.
James is survived by his daughter, Linda Breaux and husband, Tony of Butte Larose; two grandchildren, April Breaux and fiancé Brent Lanthier and Makin Breaux; and five great grandchildren, Nikkie, Sydni and Braxton Devillier and Ethen and Amelia Breaux.Also left behind to cherish his memory are John E., Billy, and Herbert Fontenot.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Mary Comeaux Dupre; companion, Mary Alice “Bijo” Fontenot; stepdaughter, Norma Jean Fontenot; and brother Kermit Dupre, Jr.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday, April 25, 2022 beginning at 8:00 AM until time of service.
