BASILE-Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2007, at the Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City for Mrs. Jackie Parker Cervantes, 51, who passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in Basile.

Interment will follow in the Iberts Cemetery in Patterson, La.

Mrs. Cervantes was a resident of Bayou Vista. She was known to all as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Jonathan Cervantes of Bayou Vista; a daughter, Jill Parker of Bayou Vista; five brothers, Jerry Tiseth of Troy, New York, John Parker of Basile, Paul Parker of Kinder, James Anderson and wife, Jamie of Monroe, Stephen Fruge and wife, Sharlee of Westlake; two sisters, Jenny Fontenot and husband, Bobby of Basile, JoAnn Christ and husband, Herman of Basile; two grandchildren, Kristyn Parker, Marcus Parker; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Cervantes; a son, Christopher Cervantes; a brother, Jack Parker.

The family request that visitation hours be observed at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City on Friday, February 23, 2007 from 10:00 am until time of services.
