BASILEIt is with sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Humberto Chavira announces his passing on Thursday, November 06, 2014 at his home at the age of 54. A gravesite service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Greater Golden Light Baptist Cemetery in Basile with Deacon Johney Jeans officiating.

Humberto was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his three daughters, Bertha Chavira of Basile, Sarah Thornton and Elena Collins, both of Lake Charles five brothers, Santiago Chavira, Enrique Chavira, Salvador Chavira, Juan Chavira, and Salomon Chavira four sisters, Irma Chavira, Elena Maldonado, Francisca Grijalda, and Martha Rojo extended family and dear friends. He was an amigo to all who knew and loved him. 1st Corinthians 15: 34.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pascual and Bertha Mata Chavira and three brothers, Luis Chavira, Arthuro Chavira, and Pasqual Chavira.
