CHATAIGNIER-Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 05, 2006, at the Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier for Mr. Herline Duplechin, 85, who died Saturday, November 4, 2006, at his residence.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery with Father Sonny Brown officiating.

Mr. Duplechin was a native of Chataignier and a veteran of the United States Army having served with the 42nd Rainbow Division during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Rozas; son, James W. Duplechin and wife Christine of Chataignier; 2 daughters, Suzette Marie Duplechin of Chataignier and Annette Duplechin of Sulphur; seven grandchildren, Zac, Casey, Nikki, Brooke, Brett, Luke and Paige Duplechin; one grandson, Connor Duplichen; Numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Duplechin and two sons, Daniel Keith and Andrew Duplechin.

Visitation will begin Saturday, November 04, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, November 05, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening.
