EUNICE-Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Richard, for Henry Cormier, 86, who passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at Oaklane Wellness Center in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Richard with Brother Orville Rogers officiating.

Mr. Cormier was a retired cotton, rice, and soybeans farmer. He was a United States Army Veteran.

A Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, Henry is survived by his wife, Amy L. Cormier of Richard; two sons, Kenneth Cormier and wife, Linda of Opelousas, Michael Cormier and wife, Stephanie of Richard; three daughters, Ruth Cormier Young and husband, Wayne of Eunice, Kathy Cormier Gotreaux and husband, Keith of Eunice, Vonda Cormier Guidry and husband, Wendel of Richard; a brother, Ivan Cormier of Opelousas; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Ida Thibodeaux Cormier; a grandchild Gabriel Reyes; four brothers and three sisters.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Sunday, March 30, 2008, from 8:00 am until time of services.
