Helen Torres

EUNICE-It is with great sadness that the family of Helen H. Torres announces her passing on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou at the age of 82. A graveside service to Celebrate Helens life will be held at a later date in Alabama.

A loving aunt, Helen will be remembered by her two nephews, Thomas Holmes and his wife, Ann of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Jerry Holmes and his wife, Diane of Murfreesboro, TN; her seven nieces, Doris Jefferys and her husband, Kenneth of Hamilton, AL, Geraldine Gilliland, and her husband, Robert of Muscle Shoals, AL., Brenda Durham of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Gloria May Bonorden and her husband, Gary of Denver, IA, Susie Hess and her husband, Jim of Woodbury, TN, Beverly Canales and her husband, Roy of Adrian, MI, and Pat Creger of Weston, MI

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard Torres; her parents, Albert L. and May Cromer Holmes; her three brothers, James, Samuel, and Newton Holmes; and her two sisters, Addie Cox and Lillie Mitchel.
