BASILEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Hazel D. Langley announces her passing on June 12, 2012 at the Eunice Extended Care at the age of 71. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.

Hazel was a former dietary employee at the Basile Care Center. She loved to play cards and have everyone meet at her house for coffee in the afternoon as well as cooking for her family every Sunday. But most importantly she was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her daughter, Bertha L.Brown and husband, Ben of Basile her sister, Velma D. Reed and the joys of her life her three granddaughters, Jessie Kate Brown, Jamie Dee Brown and Julia St. James Brown and one great granddaughter, Kasey Lucille Marie Peters.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Leo S. Langley her parents, Clement and Ozia Soileau Deshotel and a brother, Clevence Deshotel.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Wednesday, June 13th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, June 14th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Robby Leger will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
