EUNICEA wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend, Hazel C. DeBarge will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Hazel died peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2010 at Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Eunice surrounded by her loved ones. She was 85. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Hazel was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her live. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Elaine O. Naquin and husband, E.J. of Eunice her brother, Allen Cormier of Carencro her sister, Mary Cormier of Eunice. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Cindy Moreau, Debbie Fontenot, Nelton Naquin, Michael Johnson and Dave Johnson eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Hazel now rests in Heaven with her beloved first husband, Nelton J. Oliver her second husband, Batson A. DeBarge her daughter, Norma Johnson her brother, Gurvey Cormier and her parents, Ovey and Beatrice Picard Cormier.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, September 17th from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, September 18th from 8:00 am until time of services. Father Cedric will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
