EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness the family of Harry L. Miller, Sr announces his passing on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. He passed away peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by his loved ones. He was 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, December 02, 2009 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Randy Moreau Celebrant.

Harry was retired from the United States Postal service and serviced his country proudly in the United States Army. He was an avid hunter and fisherman as well as a gardener and winemaker. He was a very kind and loving man and spending time with his family and friends brought a great deal of joy to his life.

He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his sons, Harry L. Miller, Jr. and his wife, Kaye and Jacque N. Miller and his wife, Amy all of Eunice; his three daughters, Marie Miller Dupre and her husband, Carol, JoAnn Miller Fontenot and her husband, Danny, and Madonna Miller Lee and her husband, Kenny all of Eunice. Also mourning his lost is the littlest joys of his life, his seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Now he rests in heaven with his beloved wife, Grace Miller; his parents, Charles and Agnes LeBlue Miller; and his brother, Roy Miller.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 01, 2009 from 12:30 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, December 02, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:30 pm on Tuesday evening.
