EUNICEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Harry Lee Leger announces his passing on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice with his loving family by his side. He was 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

He served his country honorable in the United States Army during the Korean War. Harry was the owner and operator of Legers Barber Shop in Eunice as well as a barber for 57 years. He was a member of Louisiana Cajun Culture and Music Club, VFW, American Legion and Woodmen of the World. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife, Wilda Leger of Eunice and his two sons, Randall Leger and wife, Susan and Perry Leger and his wife, Lula all of Eunice. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Jeffery Leger, Jamie Fontenot, Kelly Andrepont and Danielle Leger and further blessed with three great grandchildren, Bricen Leger, Harlie Leger and Nadia Dugas.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Zannie and Lorena Bergeron Leger three brothers, Willie, Alex and Cyril Leger two sisters, Amanda Leger and Cecile Thibodeaux and a grandson, Stephen Leger.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, May 13th from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, May 14th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
