EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Harry J. Courville announces his passing on Friday, February 19, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette. He was 80. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Vernon Martindale officiating.

Harry served his country proudly as a Senior Ammo Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He later went to work for the Ardoins Funeral Homes where he was the general caretaker of the building and the groundskeeper for over 26 years. Harry will be remembered as one who loved gardening, yard work and music.

He was very much loved by his two daughters, Glenda Bellow and husband, Kevin of Church Point and Melinda Aymond and husband, Ray of Eunice his brother, Dudley Courville of Eunice his sister, Dula Johnson of Eunice. Also mourning his loss is his six grandchildren, Lenny Young and wife, Alana, Lorelei Higginbotham and husband, Mike and Naomi Michot, Uriah Michot, Erin Michot Savoy and husband, Kayle and Elon Aymond and his four loving great grandchildren, Jadiah Savoy, Triniti Higginbotham, Josiah Savoy and Hailyn Colomb. He will be deeply missed by them, as well as many friends.

Now he rests in Heaven with his loving wife of 44 years, Ramona Mary Miller Courville his parents, Pierre and Anita Smith Courville his brothers, L.C. and Ernest Courville and his sisters, Theresa Eula Roy and Verna Mae Miller.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 9:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of services.
