EUNICEA wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend Harry Aymond will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Harry died peacefully on Monday, April 05, 2010 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 85. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 07, 2010 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Gil Dutel Celebrant.
Harry a resident of Eunice was a retired truck driver with Ashy Construction. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and a member of the Woodman of the World. He was a dedicated servant of the Cursillo Movement and also a volunteer at Eunice Manor as well as a lay minister of the Healing.
Harry leaves a wonderful legacy of love and care, especially for his loving family including his wife of 66 years, Theresa L. Aymond of Eunice his son, Mark Aymond and fianc, Vicki Laurents of Duralde his four daughters, Tressella Melancon of Eunice, Jaslen Soileau and husband, Emery of Bayou Chicot, Becky Daigle and husband, Ray of Eunice and Melisa Aymond and fianc, Mike Boaze of La Porte, TX his sister, Vina Courville of Eunice and the littlest joys of his life his seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Also mourning his loss is many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Now he rests in heaven with his beloved parents, Theophile and Aldine Fontenot Aymond two brothers six sisters two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, April 06 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, April 07 from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
