EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts that the family of Harold D. Christ announces his sudden passing at the age 73. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Gil Dutel Celebrant.

He was a Veteran of the National Guard where he proudly served his country. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. For over 50 years he loved his career working in the oil industry, and was currently employed by Leed Petroleum, LLC, where he was a Production Superintendent. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Harold leaves behind his loving wife, Dolores M. Christ of Eunice three loving sons, Ronald K. Christ and wife, Beth of Eunice, Darrell G. Christ of Baton Rouge, Richard Scott Christ and wife, Roxy of Mamou one loving daughter, Sheila C. Vidrine and husband, Phillip of Eunice one sister, Jane McManus and husband, Gardie of Eunice and the littlest joys of his life, his ten grandchildren, Justin and Rusty Christ, Derek and Tiffani Christ, Travis, Tyler, and Trent Vidrine, Hunter and Logan Christ, and Chancely Christ Fruge and one great grandchild, Eva Christ.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Collins and Marie Christ.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm and again on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Chuck Ortego will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
