BASILE-Funeral services for Mrs. Hammrice Pommier will be held at 10:00 A.M.Thursday, August 24, 2006 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Fr. Ken Dominque officiating.

Mrs. Pommier, age 89, a resident of Lake Charles, LA, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. She was a homemaker.Mrs. Pommier was preceded in death by her husband Commilus Pommier and five brothers.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, August 24, 2006, from 8:00 a.m. till time of services. A rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Survivors include her son, Charles Fontenot and wife, Norma of Lafayette LA.; daughter, Deanie Smith and husband, Bill of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Wilda LeJeune and husband, Louis of Basile, LA;7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are David Smith, Mike Smith, Chris Owen, Greg Fontenot, Greg Fontenot, Jr. and David Stinson.
