BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 3:00pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Haidee M. Aucoin, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with The Reverend Fr. Brian Taylor Celebrant.

Haidee's husband, children, family and friends were her life. Those of us who have been blessed to have known her , loved her, laughed with her and cried with her will cherish every moment of every day of every year that God has allowed us to share with her. We are grateful for the gift she will forever be to us. Haidee is survived by her loving husband, Silton R. Aucoin of Basile; two loving daughters, Celize R. Liz Johnson and husband Kenneth Johnson; Glynis R. Kay Christ and husband, Darwin Christ all of Basile; a loving son, David Michael Aucoin of Basile; seven wonderful grandchildren, Steven P. Johnson, Brian K. Johnson, Charles D. Christ, Amanda C. Boulet, Dennis Blake Christ, Michael R. Gaspard and Brandon Gaspard; nine great-grandchildren, Asa Johnson, Wade Johnson, Gracie Mae Christ, Carlie Kay Christ, Elle Marie Christ, Courtney M. Boulet, Jeffery Boulet, Alexis M. Boulet, and Cami J. Boulet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Louis and Avia Vidrine Doga; two brothers, John Wesley Doga and Dennis Doga.

The family request that visiting hours be observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 2:00 pm until time of services on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Tuesday evening.
