EUNICEA loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Gladys Hollier will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Gladys died peacefully on Monday, May 03, 2010 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice surrounded by her loved ones. She was 65.
A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 06, 2010 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Tom Voorhies Celebrant.
Gladys was a graduate of St. Edmund High School and McNeese State University where she received Summa Cum Laude academic honors. She retired from the St. Landry Parish School Board as an elementary teacher and was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Daughters of Americas. Gladys was truly a Guardian Angel on this earth and will be remembered as one who enjoyed being with her family and friends as well as being an avid fisherman.
She will be loving missed by her husband, Travis Hollier of Eunice her two sons, Harrison Paul Hollier of Eunice and Michael Todd Hollier of San Diego, CA her daughter, Julie Hollier Fontenot and husband, Mitch of Eunice her sister, Janell Miller of Eunice and the littlest joys of her life, her five grandchildren, Mehgan, Jada, Gabby, and Alex Fontenot and Kelly Paul Hollier.
She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Eddie and Beulah Fruge two brothers, Paul and John Fruge and a sister Betty Cooper.
The family would like to extend their appreciation for their outstanding love and care they gave, Beverly Lewis, Carolyn Edwards, Linda Roberts, Zenith Fontenot, Mary Ned, Vickie Mose, Maggie Babineaux, Felicia Oliver, Venita Guillory and Dawanna Poullard.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, May 5th from 4:00 pm until time of services. A Catholic Daughter Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm and at 7:00 pm Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary.
