EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Geraldine Devillier announces her passing on the morning of Sunday, July 05, 2015 at her home with loving family by her side at the age of 61. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 07, 2015 at St. Edward Church in Richard. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Edward Cemetery with Father Wayne Duet officiating.
Geraldine was retired from the Acadia Parish School Board where she worked as a teacher's aide at Richard Elementary. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by her daughter, Danielle Devillier and fiance', Benjamin Fusilier of Eunice; grandson, Slade Fusilier of Eunice; sister, Judy Gotreaux of Richard; and nephew, Barry Gotreaux.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Isaac and Lillie LeJeune Richard.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, July 6th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, July 7th from 8:00 am until 9:30 am. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Monday evening.
