EUNICEA wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Geraldine F. Brown will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Geraldine died peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 79. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 3:00 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Kendal Faulk Celebrant.

Geraldine a resident of Eunice was a cafeteria worker at Eunice Elementary School. She leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her husband, Marvin Brown of Eunice her three daughters, Jeanella Gaspard and companion, Wilbur D. Fontenot and Darlene Cooper and husband, Johnny Jr. all of Eunice and Ruth LaVergne and husband, Steve of Ville Platte. She was blessed with five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Eve and Ilene Blanchard Fontenot her two sons, Leonard Ray Brown and Larry Lee Brown her three brothers, Albert, Dewey and Linus Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, August 24th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, August 25th from 8:00 am until time of services. Father Kendal Faulk will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
