Eunice A mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 9:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Mr. Gerald Buddy Chitta Savoy, 78, who passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Opelousas General Health System. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum.

A Loving Father, Brother, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather and also a Army Veteran of World War II, a lifetime member of the Eunice Volunteer Fireman Association, and also retired from Cleco after 43 years of service as a Supervisor, Mr. Savoy is survived by three sons, Gerald Keith Savoy and wife, Belinda of Eunice, Ronald Jude Savoy and wife, Sonya of Eunice, and Douglas Charles Savoy and wife, Anna of Abbeville; one daughter, Patti Savoy Fontenot of Lake Charles; one sister, Tittle Langley of Eunice; six grandchildren, Caroline, John, Jason, Toby, Brock, and Jake; and three great-grandchildren, Ayla, Gage, and Caleb.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Savoy, a brother, Wilbur Jack Savoy, and his parents, Zenon Savoy and Omelise Veillon Savoy.

The family request that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 am until 9:00 pm on Monday and from 7:00 am until time of services on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Monday.

Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
