EUNICEA wonderful husband, father, sister, grandfather and friend, George Stroder will be missed by all who knew and loved him. George died on Thursday, October 06, 2011 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital at the age of 91. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 09, 2011 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Reed Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

George proudly served his country 20 years in the United States Armed Forces. He leaves behind his lovely wife of 60 years, Celeste Stroder of Basile his two sons, Carl Stroder and wife, Fay of Baton Rouge and Ricky Stroder of Basile a sister, Ivy McGee of Basile four grandchildren, Ryan Stroder of Basile, Carrie Gilkey of Merryville, TN, April Woodrow of Lafayette and Samantha Godbold of Bakersfield, CA and one great grandchild, Justin Stroder.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Darious and Louise Doguet Stroder a son, Garey Stroder two grandchildren, Matthew and Caleb Stroder and one great granddaughter, Danielle Grace Woodrow.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, October 8th from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm and again on Sunday, October 9th from 12 noon until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 4:00 pm Saturday evening.
