IOTA-Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 15, 2007, at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Iota for George Ray Leger, Sr, 69, who passed away on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Basile Care Center.

Interment will follow in the Iota Cemetery.

Mr. Leger was a native of Iota and a resident of Basile. He was a retired truck driver and was in the United States National Guard.

Survivors include his son, George Ray Leger, Jr. and wife, Katie of Oakgrove,LA; a daughter, Susan Pousson and husband, Anthony of Iota; a brother, Charles Hugh Leger and wife, Marlene of Iota; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Anna Stelly Leger; a daughter Elizabeth Leger.
The family request that visitation hours be observed from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm Wednesday, February 14, 2007 and again on Thursay, February 15, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services.
