EUNICEThe family of Gene Duplechain announces his passing on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at his home at the age of 76. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, November 14, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Sensat, Celebrant.
Gene was an usher for many years at St. Thomas More Church. He was a member of the Usher Society, Knights of Columbus, and Woodmen of the World. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Audrey Duplechain of Eunice three daughters, Debbie Pease and husband, Michael of Cleveland, TN, Sheila Prejean and husband, Mike of Spring, TX, and Angie Molitor and husband, Mitch of Metairie five grandchildren, Patrick Pease, Kathryn Goodner, Daniel Prejean, Lindsey and Andrew Molitor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Linda Fontenot Duplechain two sisters, Isabelle Fontenot and Lou Ella Duplechain.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, November 13th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Friday, November 14th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Thursday evening.
