EUNICEIts with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of Garret Wayne Olivier at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. He was 60. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Garret a resident of Eunice was a meat cutter at Eunice Superette Slaughterhouse. He was a loving husband, dear son, brother, and friend which includes his wife, Monica F. Olivier of Eunice his mother, Sybil Fontenot of Eunice his brother, Kenneth Hav Olivier of Eunice his three sisters, Cindy Guidry of Eunice, Connie Dupre of Youngsville and Margaretta Frey of Eunice. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved father, Edmund Blackie Olivier and his brother, Al Kurt Olivier.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, June 14th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, June 15th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
