EUNICEWith much sorrow, the family announces the passing of Fredrick Fred Duplechain who peacefully slipped away in his 67th year with family by his side at Oaklane Wellness Rehabilitation Center in Eunice on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 01, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice on Saturday, February 04, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will follow at the Ashford Cemetery with Deacon Chuck Ortego and Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Fredrick better known as Fred was a retired welder and welder inspector, but most importantly he loved life, and was devoted to his family. He will be forever in the hearts of his two former wives, Welaine B. Babineaux of Iowa and Ethelyn C. Duplechain of Eunice his three sons, Eric R. Duplechain and wife, Tracy of Eunice, Christopher N. Duplechain of Scott and James M. Duplechain of Eunice his two daughters, Amanda D. Bordelon of Eunice and Jennifer D. David and husband, Neal of Duralde. He was blessed with nine grandchildren, Seth C. Duplechain, Harley R. Duplechain, Jacob M. Duplechain, Dylan J. Duplechain, Anna H. Duplechain, Sarah M. Duplechain, Connor N. David, Hunter J. Duplechain and Ethan J. David and was further blessed with one great grandson , Benjamin L. Duplechain.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Murphy Bolo and Inez Sonnier Duplechain and a brother, Gerald J. Duplechain.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, February 4th from 11:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 pm Saturday afternoon.
