EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Freddie Joseph "Pike" Fontenot announces his passing on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Oaklane Wellness & Rehabilitation Center in Eunice with his loving family by his side. He was 90. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

Freddie was a wonderful person and will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and time spent will his beloved family. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his loving wife of 70 beautiful years, Irene Thibodeaux Fontenot of Eunice; his two sons, Gary Fontenot of Tennessee and Danny Fontenot and wife, Joann of Eunice; his three daughters, Peggy Courville, Cathy Manuel and Gail Brown and husband, Deryl all of Eunice; his brother, Burgess Veillon of Eunice; his sister, Helen Wallace of Elklen, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Azilie Courville Veillon and a brother, Tonas Veillon.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, June 13th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, June 14th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:30 pm Monday.
