BASILEA Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 09, 2012 in the First Baptist Church in Basile with visitation Thursday, March 08, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Basile for Mr. Franklin R. LeJeune, who died on Monday, March 05, 2012 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital at the age of 79. Burial will follow in the Protestant Cemetery in Basile with Rev. Dwayne Smith officiating.

A native of Basile and a resident of Elton since 1976 Mr. LeJeune was retired from Local 106 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in Lake Charles. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Basile, where he was a Sunday school teacher and a Deacon. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as well as a member of the American Legion James Rougeau Post 261. He enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and watching them grow up to be the loving responsible husbands and fathers they are today. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clara Guillory LeJeune of Elton his daughter and love of his live, Cindy LeJeune Cowart and his soninlaw, Gregory K. Cowart of Greenwell Springs his grandsons and their spouses, Gregory K. Cowart, II and wife, Amy and Courtney B. Cowart and wife, Jennifer all of Watson, Joshua P. Cowart and wife, Jill of St. Francisville and eight precious great grandchildren who he loved and adored, Joni, Zach, Luke, Kaden, Hayes, Jacob, Ben and Lucy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Zepherin and Ernestine LeJeune and three brothers, Zepherin, Theo and Evens.
