EUNICEA wonderful father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Francis Myers will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Francis died on Saturday, October 02, 2010 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 84. A Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated Tuesday, October 05, 2010 at 2:00 pm at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Ted Broussard officiating.

Mr. Myers was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II in Europe. During his service to his country, he received many medals including the American Campaign Medal, the EuropeAfricaMiddle East Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, the WWII Victory Medal, the French Croix De Guerre Medal, and the Presidential Unit Citation. He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his three sons, Clifford Myers and wife, Launa, Francis Myers, Jr., and David Myers and wife, Amy, all of Eunice daughter, Tina Miller and husband, Ashton Miller, Jr. of Eunice sister, Rena Price of Elton eleven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Esther Moreau Myers parents, Angelas and Marie Lebert Myers son, Ricky James Myers grandson, Ricky James Miller and several brothers and sisters.

The family request that visitation be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, October 4, 2010 from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of Services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
