EUNICEA beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Francis M. Aucoin will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Francis died on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. He was 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum.

Francis serviced his country proudly in the United States Army. In his younger military years he enjoyed boxing. He was a lifetime member and retiree of Local Union 798 out of Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was a pipeline welder. He enjoyed fishing, but his family and friends brought him the most joy in life and he never met a stranger.

He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his daughter, Francene Aucoin Fontenot and husband, Russel T. of Eunice two grandchildren, Jessica D. Richard of Kinder and SSGT Canon B. Richard of Memphis, Tennessee and three great grandchildren, Treyton I. Long of Eunice, Tanner M. Mouhot of Kinder, and Alexis N. Richard of Ragley

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Winnie Jane Fuselier Aucoin two sisters and three brothers.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice on Sunday, October 17th from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Monday, October 18th from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, October 19th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
