BASILE-Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Basile for Mrs. Florence Dillard, 93, who died Friday, October 20, 2006, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.

Interment will follow in the Protestant Cemetery in Basile with Brother Rod Martin officiating.

Mrs. Dillard, a resident of Basile was a very active member in her church and the communitys Senior citizens. She was also a nurse in her early years.

Survivors includes her daughter, Dena Anderson and husband, John of Tecumseh, OK; four grandchildren, John Wesley Anderson II, James Thomas Anderson, Paula Lynn Shadix, Christopher Lee Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Kendra Baughman, Haley Baughman, Richie Baughman, Chance Shadix, Whitne Hobbs, Rowdy Anderson, Nathalie Anderson; two step-great-grandchildren, Bailey, Jensen; two nephews, Jack Duhon, Butch; and a niece, Donna Hamilton.

Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Carl Dillard and her parents Alvin and Lucille Fruge Duhon.
Visitation will begin at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile, Sunday, October 22, 2006, from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Monday, October 23, 2006, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
