EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM, Tuesday, April 08, 2008 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for Ferdinand Joseph Lyons, 67, who passed away on Sunday, April 06, 2008 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Tom Voohries Celebrant.

Mr. Lyons was born in Church Point and was a resident of Eunice. He enjoyed his career as a bricklayer. He was also a Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. All who knew and loved him will sadly miss him.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Stroderd Lyons of Eunice; a son, John Ferdie Lyons and wife, Sandy of Tepetate; three daughters, Julia Vidrine and husband, Leonard of Eunice, Jacqueline Cart and husband, Clyde, Jennifer Lyons all of Basile; two brothers, J.C. Lyons and Johnny Lyons all of Eunice; three sisters, Marie Johnson of Baton Rouge, Brenda Brown of Newman, Georgia, Geraldine Lavergne of Eunice; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

His parents, John Quinton and Bertha Barousse Lyons, preceded him in death.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, April 06, 2008 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm, Monday, April 07, 2008 from 8:00am until 10:00pm and again on Tuesday, April 08, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm Monday evening.
