EUNICE- A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice for Felice Tate, 95, who passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Oak Lane Wellness Rehabilitation Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old St. Ann Cemetery in Mamou with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Felices children, family and friends were her life. Those of us, who have been blessed to have known her, loved her, laughed with her and cried with her will cherish every moment of every day of every year that God has allowed us to share with her. We are grateful for the gift she will forever be to us. Felice is survived by her three loving daughters, Loretta Simon and husband, Mike of Eunice, Cathy Hancock and husband, Rod of Moss Bluff, and Patricia Hamilton and husband, John of Sulphur; sixteen grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Paul Tate; a son, Joseph Ray Tate; three daughters, Jane Tate, Virgia Ruth Hayes, Clara Ann Gillard; three grandchildren, Erin Monique Courville, Brad Vallot, and Lisa Bertrand.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 9:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
