EUNICE It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Eve Reed, surrounded by her adoring family at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 90. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 20, 2010. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier officiating.

Eve was a homemaker with family as always her priority and spending time with them and good friends brought her great joy especially around the holidays. Along with the love for her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren she had a love for Cajun music.

She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Bobby Reed and wife, JoAnn of Eunice and James Reed and wife, Debra of Basile her daughter, Rebecca Martin and husband, David of Leonville her brother, Adam Thibodeaux of Eunice her sister, Wilma Andrepont of Eunice as well as the littlest joys of her life, her fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

How she rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Kirby Reed parents, Laurent and Alida Thibodeaux, her daughter, Mary Lou Vige her soninlaw, Harry Vige her brother, Joseph B. Thibodeaux and her five sisters, Eda Thibodeaux, Clemence Labbie, Armance Young, Tavie Thibodeaux and Lucille Cormier.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, March 19 from 10:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
