IOTAA wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend, Evala Lee LeJeune will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Evala died peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2011 at the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 94. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum with Father Blaine Clement Celebrant.

Evala was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family which includes, her two sons, Harry Dale LeJeune and, Raymond Joseph LeJeune and wife, Julie all of Iota her two daughters, Gertha Hebert and husband, Curney and Gertrude Manuel both of Iota and her sister, Letell Pitre of Hampshire, TX. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren, John, Bryan, Miranda, Rhonda, Sherisa, Kathy, Deanna, Todd, Jeannette, Tasha, Danielle, and Victoria and three step grandchildren, Joshua and Brandy Bye and Rhonda Fontenot and further blessed with numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Iran LeJeune her parents, Alida and Odelia Dupre Lee her son, Anthony Bruce LeJeune her brother, Murphy Lee and two sisters, Evelyn Jacobs and Murzy Basinet.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, October 27th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, October 28th from 7:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Thursday evening.
