EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Eva Cormier announces her passing on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:00 am. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Gil Dutel Celebrant.

Eva a resident of Eunice was retired from the St. Landry Parish School Board. She leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her three daughters, Norma Cormier LeJeune and her husband, John, Jr. of Lawtell, Nettie Cormier Overshiner and her husband, Glenn of Kinder and Paula Cormier Deshotel and her husband, Kyle of Eunice; her two sisters, Ruby LeJeune and Bell Bertrand both of Kinder; her eleven grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was very much loved by her daughters, and will be deeply missed by them, as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Now she rests in heaven with her beloved parents, Albert and Annaiese Daigle Thibodeaux; her husband, Louis Cormier, Jr. and a host of brothers and sisters.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening.
