BASILE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Eunice B. Sonnier, 81, who passed away on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou. Rite of Committal to follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.

A Loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Eunice is survived by her son, Michael Sonnier of Basile; two daughters, Sandra and Nanette Sonnier both of Basile; a sister, Jane Comeaux of Baton Rouge; and three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Eunice will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Sonnier; her son, Ted Sonnier; and her mother, Lonie Bushnell.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 6:30 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Monday evening.
