Eunice Chaumont

BASILE~Our mom, Eunice "June" Chaumont passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on March 17, 2020 at the age of 84. A Private Funeral Service and graveside will be held due to the current situation.

Eunice, or "June" as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She loved gardening, camping, fishing, cooking  but what  she loved and lived for was spending time with her loving family especially her grandchildren.  June's memory will live on in all who loved her, especially her three daughters, Christine Chaumont Bacon and husband, James and Rebecca Chaumont Klumpp and husband, Rapheal all of Basile and Julie Chaumont Fontenot and husband, Joel of Duralde; her nine grandchildren, Richard Bacon, Jessica Klumpp Denette, Ethan Bacon, Rachel Fontenot Manuel, Kevin Fontenot, Sarah Bacon, John Eric Fontenot, Hannah Bacon Brightwell and Lean Fontenot Trahan; twenty four great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Darrell Chaumont; sisters, Beulah LeJeune, Florence Moreau, Hazel May and Burnadette "Blackie" Bertrand.

The pallbearers carrying June to her resting place, Richard Bacon, Ethan Bacon, Kevin Fontenot, John Eric Fontenot, Kadin Bacon, Cole Manuel and Collin Tubre.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Thursday, March 19th from 8:00 am until 12 noon for fifty people or less at a time.
