BASILE-The family of Eula Marie Vidrine McClelland, 95, invites friends and neighbors to a celebration of her life on Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 2:00 pm at The First Baptist Church in Basile.

She will be laid to rest in the Maxie Cemetery next to her husband, Delma D. McClelland and their child, Donald Ray McClelland.

Mrs. McClelland was born in Duralde on October 1, 1910, and was a life-long resident of the Duralde community. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and the oldest member of the First Baptist Church in Basile. Miss Eula inspired many with a quiet devotion to those she held dear.

She is survived by three children, Delores McClelland Duplechin and husband, Ernie Duplechin, of Lake Charles, Jackie D. McClelland and wife, MaryNan Dubose McClelland of Eunice, and Judith Ann McClelland Porter and husband, John Porter of Pineville; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, September 14, 2006, from 10:00 am until time of services.
