EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Ethel Theresa Young announces her passing on the morning of Tuesday, October 07, 2014 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria at the age of 68. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:30 pm on Thursday, October 09, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.

May the winds of love blow softly and whisper so youll hear, we will always love and miss you and wish that you were here.

Ethel was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman. Spending time with her family and friends, reading and traveling brought a great deal of joy to her life. Ethel will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, motherinlaw, sister, grandmother and friend. Left to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Logan Young of Eunice. Ethel was also extremely loving and proud of her three sons, Brian Young and fianc Debbie Morales of Mandeville, Daniel Young and wife, Holly Reed Young of Eunice and Tracy Young and wife, Wendy Huckaby Young of Youngsville the joys of her life, her seven grandchildren, Cassie, Stephen, Ashley, Seth, Taylor, Shelby and Noah Young and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers, Grady Fontenot and wife, Barbara of Ville Platte and Benette Fontenot of Lake Charles three sisters, Grace Soileau and husband Ashley and Charlene Matt all of Mamou and Nina Primeaux of Cameron as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clements and Mary Saucier Fontenot and son, Jody Young.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, October 8th from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday, October 9th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
